With sky high ambition and a work ethic to match, she consistently progresses with clarity and without compromise. In 2018, she kickstarted her solo career with the quintuple-platinum “Love Lies” [feat. Khalid]. She joined forces with Sam Smith for 2019’s “Dancing With A Stranger,” reaching quadruple-platinum status and marking her second Top 10 bow on the Billboard Top 200. Following the platinum “Motivation,” she linked up with Megan Thee Stallion for “Diamonds” from the blockbuster soundtrack Birds of Prey: The Album. Meanwhile, she ignited 2021 with the platinum “Wild Side” [feat. Cardi B], which ascended to #1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay Chart. NPR predicted the latter “pushes the Fifth Harmony breakout star one step closer to pop sensation.” Now, she embraces her poise, passion, and power like never before on a series of 2022 singles and her forthcoming full-length debut album.

Karol G
Artist
Colombia's Karol G is a best-selling, chart-topping, award-winning vocalist known for her soulful mix of reggaeton, pop, and dance-oriented R&B. Her many collaborative singles appearances with other urbano stars -- including Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Maluma, and Pitbull -- regularly placed inside the Top 100, while their accompanying videos garnered hundreds of millions of views. Though she issued her first single at 16 in 2007, she struggled for the next decade to establish herself in reggaeton because it was a male-dominated genre. It took ten years, more than a billion YouTube views, and hundreds of millions of music streams before she could release her debut LP, Unstoppable, in 2017. Two years later, her profile rose to the level of a bona fide star thanks to chart-topping singles such as "Tusa" with Nicki Minaj, "China" with Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, and J Balvin, and "Ocean," the title track from her number 22 sophomore long-player. In 2020 Karol G was a nearly constant presence on the charts with many collaborations -- including "Enjoy Yourself" with Pop Smoke and "Follow" with Anuel AA -- and solo singles such as "Ay, Dios Mío!" and "Bichota." In March 2021, she issued her third long-player, the chart-topping KG0516. Her fourth set, 2023's Mañana Será Bonito, took her to even greater heights, winning multiple Grammys into 2024. Born Carolina Giraldo Rivera in Medellín, Colombia, in 1991, Karol G was interested in music from a young age, influenced by her father, a working musician. After high school, she studied music at the University of Antioquia. Her first break came in 2010 when she competed on Colombia's version of The X Factor, El Factor X. Two years later, her profile was raised even higher after duetting with Colombian reggaeton singer Reykon on the single "301." In 2013, Karol G released her first solo single, "Amor de Dos," featuring Nicky Jam. Several more well-received singles followed including "Ricos Besos," "Manyana," and "Ya No Te Creo." In 2016, she delivered the Daniel Echavarria-produced single "Casi Nada." The following year, "Ahora Me Llama," a collaborative single with Bad Bunny, became a hit. It was featured on her debut full-length, Unstoppable, which was released in October 2017, and peaked at number two on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. She returned in early 2018 with the saucy single "Mi Cama." Another track, "Punto G," followed in 2019 and took home the year's award for Best Song at the Premio ASCAP ceremony and was nominated for three Billboard Latin Music Awards. In April 2020, Karol G and Anuel AA released the collaborative single and video "Follow." Recorded while the pair quarantined in Miami, the video rang up 20 million views in its first four days. Another song, "Ay, Dios Mío!," arrived in July 2020 and reached number five on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, while its video garnered more than 400 million views. She also collaborated with the Jonas Brothers on the track "X," which debuted during the closing credits of the group's documentary film Happiness Continues. Karol G and the Jonas Brothers filmed the music video on their individual iPhones, then combined the footage to offer an innovative approach to music making videos during the pandemic. Later that year, she joined Pop Smoke to collaborate on his Top 40 hit "Enjoy Yourself." Her single "Ay, Dios Mío!" charted in more than a dozen countries though not in the U.S. Its music video, however, registered more than 400 million views. She collaborated with Ozuna and Myke Towers on the number three "Carmelo," and in December released the anthemic "Bichota." It, too, peaked at number three on the Hot Latin Songs chart, while its video registered nearly 700 million views. On February 2, 2021, just 16 days before her 30th birthday on Valentine's Day, Karol G released "Location" featuring Anuel AA and J Balvin. Its video rang up more than 130 million views during its first month of release, while it reached number five at Latin Songs. Her third album, the Grammy-nominated KG0516 (titled for the date she signed her first record deal) was released in late March. The 16-track set was co-produced with Ovy on the Drums. While it included her Latin Grammy-nominated "Tusa" with Nicki Minaj, as well as most of the singles from the previous year, much of the record included new music comprised of six solo performances and ten collaborations with artists including Mariah Angeliq ("El Makinon"), Ozuna ("Odisea"), Nathy Peluso ("Gato Malo"), Yandar & Yostin ("Sola Es Mejor"), and Ludacris and Emilee ("Beautiful Boy"). With KG0516, Karol G became the first female Latin artist to deliver a Spanish-language album that simultaneously entered the Global streaming and Top Latin Albums industry charts at number one. The video for "El Makinon" registered 28 million views in three days. Karol G's success continued in 2022, first with the Becky G collaboration "Mamiii," and then with her own track "Provenza," both of which hit number one on multiple charts. Further collaborations with Maldy ("Gatúbela"), Romeo Santos ("X Si Volvemos"), and Ovy on the Drums ("Cairo") preceded her fourth LP, Mañana Será Bonito, which arrived in February 2023. It went on to win Album of the Year at the Latin Grammys, and was followed later in the year by the club-friendly mixtape Mañana Será Bonito: Bichota Season. A year after its release, Mañana Será Bonito took home the Grammy for Best Música Urbana Album. By the end of 2024, Karol G had scored several more Top Ten Latin hits, including her Tiësto collaboration "Contigo" and "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido," the latter of which hit number one in several countries and topped Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. She also hit number four on the Latin chart with "+57," her star-studded track with Feid, DFZM, Ovy on the Drums, J Balvin, Maluma, Ryan Castro, and Blessd. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi

Rauw Alejandro
Artist
One of the leading Puerto Rican pop stars of his generation, singer, and songwriter Rauw Alejandro is known for his smooth tenor singing voice and genre-crossing reggaeton style that mixes Latin pop, R&B, hip-hop, and throwback sounds. After releasing his acclaimed debut mixtape, Punto de Equilibrio, in late 2016, he became a featured collaborator alongside Ozuna, Lunay, and Lyanno on "Luz Apaga," and with Lyanno, Alex Rose, Cazzu, and Lenny Tavárez on "Toda Remix." These and other collaborations resulted in Alejandro being nominated in four categories for Puerto Rico's Tu Musica Urban Awards in 2019. They also paved the way for his debut studio album, 2020's Afrodisíaco, which hit number two on Billboard's Top Latin Albums chart. In June 2021, Alejandro topped the Latin charts with Vice Versa, which incorporated electro, drum'n'bass, neo-disco, and mainstream pop into his brand of reggaeton. Following the 2022 EP Trap Cake, Vol. 2., Alejandro again reached the Top Ten of the Latin charts with his third full-length, Saturno. RR, a collaboration with Rosalía, appeared in 2023 ahead of its companion album, Playa Saturno.Born Raúl Alejandro Ocasio Ruiz, he was raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. When he was a child, his family moved (temporarily) to the United States before returning to the island. His first passion was soccer, a sport he practiced seriously while studying at the Maria Auxiliadora School. Music was another hobby, but he never considered it as a career until his football playing was cut short by an injury during adolescence. As therapy to assuage his disappointment, he applied himself to music and began posting tracks to SoundCloud. Given his parents' love of music (his dad is a guitar player), he was influenced early on by Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, and later by Ricky Martin, Daddy Yankee, and Chris Brown. As he learned to sing and write songs, he put his talent for dancing to work on local stages and in videos, meeting numerous musicians, producers, and dancers. He quickly developed a reputation as a triple-threat talent. Alejandro was signed to the Under Music Group label, which nurtured his writing and singing talent. The label began issuing his singles in June 2016, including "No Me Siento Igual" (featuring Joyce Santana) and "Días Así," and "Se Tú" (featuring Lyanno and Sousa). Alejandro's debut mixtape, Punto de Equilibrio, appeared at the end of the year, and he toured Puerto Rico, Mexico, and the Southeastern United States. He was prolific and issued 14 singles and videos between 2016 and late 2017, not including guest appearances. The singer drew attention from trade and fan magazines across the Latin music spectrum, as well as Anglo industry weeklies. Between his own singles -- the streaming chart hits "Mi Llamada" (featuring Lyanno, Alex Rose, and Lenny Tavárez), "T.T.I.," and "Dale" (featuring Sousa and Mr. Naisgai) -- and his guest spots with Rafa Pabön ("Tarde") and Alex Rose ("Toda"), he appeared on no less than seven singles. He was featured on Ozuna's "Luz Apaga," which peaked at 26 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and even spent a week at number three on the Latin Digital Song Sales. Alejandro kicked off 2019 with the collaborations "Miénteme (Remix)" with Sousa, Cazzu, Lyanno, and Álvaro Díaz, followed by "Es Normal" with Javiielo, Lunay, Lyanno, and Sousa. He also delivered an EP, Trap Cake, Vol. 1, as well as the non-album duet hit "Que Le Dé" with Nicky Jam, which placed in the Top Ten on almost all the Latin streaming charts. In February he appeared on the club hit "Mírame" with Nio García and Lenny Tavárez. Alejandro toured Latin America and the United States in the winter and spring, and later that fall released the single "Fantasias," which saw him collaborating with Puerto Rican singer and songwriter Farruko. The non-album track "Algo Mágico" arrived in July 2020. That summer, he also issued the live album Concierto Virtual en Tiempos de COVID-19 Desde el Coliseo de Puerto Rico, which peaked at number ten on the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. In November 2020, he released his Grammy-nominated debut studio album, Afrodisíaco, which included guest appearances by J Balvin, Sech, Anuel AA, and others. In February 2021, Alejandro appeared as Selena Gomez's duet partner on the Hot 100 hit "Baila Conmigo," which also topped the Hot Latin Songs chart. In June he released Vice Versa. Refusing to be pigeonholed, he worked with a slew of producers including Tainy and Mr. Naisgai (Luis J. Gonzalez) on a collection of originals that juxtaposed his fluid brand of urbano reggaeton with neo-disco, electro, drum'n'bass, funky breaks, and more, to jarring effect. The set entered the Top 200 at number 17 and the Top Latin Album charts at number one a week after its release. Its single "Todo de Ti" spent five weeks in the Hot 100. It also spawned the Top Five Latin hit "Desesperados" with Chencho Corleone. The singer's second EP, Trap Cake, Vol. 2, appeared in February 2022, hitting number six on the Latin chart. In November 2022, Alejandro issued the 18-track full-length Saturno. Co-produced under the alias El Zorro with longtime friend Kenobi and Mr. Naisgai, and in select places, major influences El Playero and Tainy, the set juxtaposed reggaeton and trap with funk, throwback hip-hop, pop, and retro new wave. Among his collaborators on the date were Baby Rasta, El Playero, and Arcángel. The release entered the Billboard 200 at number 25, and landed at number two on the Top Latin Albums and Latin Rhythm Albums charts. It also spawned several Top 30 Latin singles, including "Lejos del Cielo" and "Panties y Brasieres" (with Daddy Yankee). RR, a collaborative EP with Rosalía, arrived in March 2023 (on the heels of the couple's engagement) and featured the Top Ten Latin hit "Beso." He then paired with Bizarrap for the song "Rauw Alejandro: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 56" as well as "Baby Hello." The latter single heralded the singer's Saturno spin-off album, Playa Saturno, which reached number four on the Top Latin Albums chart and cracked the Top 30 of the Billboard 200. Alejandro again hit the upper echelon of the Latin songs chart with 2024's "Santa," with Rvssian and Ayra Starr. ~ Thom Jurek & Matt Collar

Masego
Artist
Masego is that movement. It’s a grand, eloquent, and somewhat mischievous one, from an artist who thrives on mixing contemplation with extroversion, smoldering romance with knowing humor, and studied musical discipline with exhilarating flights of intuition. Masego is only his second album after the quiet storm of 2018’s critically embraced Lady Lady, a series of EPs going back to 2015, and the frankly phenomenal signature song, Tadow, that wrote his name on the world. But the story this album tells — literally, in vignettes reflecting the contours of his life in all shades of his vast musical palette — encompasses a long journey in pursuit of something higher. For those who came in late, maybe parts of Masego’s backstory need to be spelled out here. The singer-songwriter mother who directed the church choir in Virginia, and the Jamaican father whose roots he retraced on 2020’s Studying Abroad EP. The teenaged hip-hop obsession, the university jazz studies, the birth of his bespoke genre, TrapHouseJazz, designed to digest all this and more; the narrative genius of Outkast, Duelle, Wale; the intoxicating Brazilian mystery of Trio Mocoto and Joao Gilberto... With Masego, all this accumulated inspiration has simply become the atmosphere that he breathes; the landscape for seeking deeper self-knowledge and purpose through music. With the input of an expanding cast of collaborators, it’s in a state of charged evolution.

Karol G
