Diana Spencer (Lady d)
I have SO MUCH things to say about HERRR. I will try to be VERY VERY QUICK. First: she was in an unhappy mariage with an asswhole. SHE IS SO STRONG TO HAVE SURVIVED THIS BASTARD. She was to badass that even Michael Jackson wanted her. Secondly, she was a peaceful and kind princess; she was here for children in poor country, helped a lot of association, was the first person to hug a children affected by aid just to show that it was harmles?? GURL I LOVE YOU, you were a modern, loving and feminist mother. I love you. You didn't deserve all of what hapoened to you. You stayed a badass goergous woman after you divorce. I could talk about you for HOURS but I can't so I will just say few here, but my heart is SCREAMING my love for you, ILY.
Virginia Wolf
I learned about her in litterature classes. She wrote for women, of course. So first I like her because I appreciate her way to write, her argumentation and ESPACIALLY the fact thag she brings historical references. Idk why but to me it shows that you know what you are talking about and you want to honor the person you are mentionning and it is way more authentic. Even though I don't know much about her, she has a special pllace in my heart.
C.J Walker
She is known because of the tv serie Self made. Long story short: she lost her hair because of her hard work, she discovered a miracle product, she decided to make her own miracle product, she sold it and rewrote the whole game of hair in the 19th century. Self made is a perfect name for her because she did it almost alone as a BLACK WOMAN in the 19th century. I am so admirative of what she did for the women of ther time. I am admirative of the way she still faught even though everything seemed hopeless. And finally: the way that she rewrote the game by showing the importance of HAIR (espacially curly hair) for people. Indeed she is encouraging me to be proud of my hair. So thank you C.J.
Queen Victoria
She was also one of the first Queen governing England. I studied her area, but not her reign so I don't know much about her governing itself...BUT I know her HUGE INFLUENCE. And this is what I like in her. Like, she changed the whole game by: colonisation, economy, laws and EVEN FASHION?? She is the reason why everybody in the whole world (almost) wear white in their wedding. And so much more! So I love her clout, she is also an inspiration.
Sissi the Empress
To be honest, I don't love her because she faught for this or for that. Because in fact, she didn't. Not because she wasn't engaged in anything, but because she had no free will for ANYTHING. And because she had no freedom as an empress or as a wife: she overwheigted this by spending most of her time and her energy on her beauty. This is the reason why I love her; she is an example to me. I'd like to be as beautiful, gorgeous, attractive as her. When I learn all the effort she put into her beauty, her body, her face, her hair. I am both terrified (because some of her tips werr DANGEROUS and weird) and admirative, she is so magnificent. So she is like my physical goal.
Olympe de Gouges
She is kind of popular in France, but I put her anyway. First, because OBVIOUSLY she was an ICON of feminism, then, because she faught for women's reconnaissance among society, not only for their right. She tried to spread the idea that women should be listened because they do art, they think, they are doing philosophy, litterature etc...and not because they have a pretty face. That is a fight that is very dear to me. Thirdly, because she also faught for family's right, for children and women's sexual freedom. I loove that because she was so early for her time! Finally because she didn't want to put men down, and women on top, they wanted them to be EQUAL on all point: if women had the right to work, they must havr the right to pay taxes too. And I like this because it is coherant and logical. And she explains that neither nature or religion justify feminism: only men do. So it is STUPID.
Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton
It was OBVIOUS for me to put her. First, because she is the wife of my favourite, ever, historical character;Alexander Hamilton. But then, because she was wayyyyy more than that. To begin with the fact that we wouldn't know who Alexander was without her, she CREATED A WHOLE ORPHANAGE?? I mean WOW. Then despite her strong personnality, she was depicted as a lovely and loving sister, wife and mother. She is one of the kindest and loyalest person that history could know. She forbade her husband to: be absent to her because of war, work, writting etc, of cheating on her with her sister (not officially) and Maria Reynolds, she forbade him to be absent as a husband and a father. She forbade the fact that ALEXANDER was responsible of the death of their son?? She forbade him from publishing a whole pamphlet explaining how he cheated on her?? HUMILIATING HER. And despite all of this: she stayed and kept his legacy. And thanks to that, I think she is admirable, not because she stupildy forbade a stupid husband (sorry Alexander) but by her strengh, her heart and her patience. So yeah, she is kind of one of my favourite one.
Elizabeth the 1rst
Daughter of Anne Boleyn: she became the Queen of England after her father, Henry the VIII, died. When she knew about how her mother died: she decided to end the bloodline of her father. She governed England as nobody before her. She improved the country so well that she became very popular among the population. She is known as the Virgin Queen because she never gave any baby: no heir, no heiress. Her revenche was made, and when she died it led to the Act of Union with Scotland but this is another story. I love her courage because she is the 1st woman to govern England and she did it so well. Then, she proved that she can manage a whole kingdom without any man involved, and she made a revenge with NO violence. So for all of that, I absolutly adore her.
Anne of Cleeves
During the Tudors area: SHE IS MY FAVOURITE ONE from the 6 wives of Henry the VIII. She didn't deserve that AT ALL. I mean, she got DIVORCED because she was ugly?? 1rst:NO?? 2nd: have you seen the face of Henry?? Eww. Finally, I love her sm because I kind of identify as her: both of us were mocked, rejected, we didn't get loved because we are not pretty enough. That's so sad but I UNDERSTAND YOUR UNFAIR PAIN GIRL
Merida
I admit, she is a fictional character. But first her chara design is SLAYING QUEEEEEEN, then, I like the fact that she loves freedom so much that she doesn't just disagree to marry a man: SHE IS FIGHTING FOR HER OWN HAND?? hello?? She IS the independant woman she thinks she is, ans we must ALL by like her. Respect.
Circe
She was a witch during greek antiquity. She is mostly known for appearing in the Oddessey of Homer. She transforms men into pigs: the first form ever of misandria! That is why I love her. Also, she is so beautiful and badass I mean look at her!
Selene
Greek Godess of Moon: I love her because I love the moon, she is absolutly gorgeous, she is shadowed by Arthemis but clearly she is the queen of the night sky. I also identify as her because she made her lover sleep forever to avoid him to die and to go to someone else: sometimes I would like to do the same as her ahah (jk)
