PRYVT
Artist
pronounced [ private ] Formed on Discord in 2023, atmospheric indie rock band PRYVT launched their career with a highly unusual feat, amassing more than 20 million streams, landing on Spotify’s Viral 50 charts in several countries, and opening for one of South Korea’s biggest indie rock band wave to earth, all before the members had ever even met in person. While PRYVT’s whirlwind rise may have happened in the blink of an eye, the band’s captivating debut, &SCENE, is a measured and deliberate affair. The music is lush and dreamy, built on hazy, reverb-soaked guitars and hypnotic, laidback grooves, and the production is mesmerizing to match, with <a href="spotify:artist:5W87E8NmLc9OQwqwJlVVIk" data-name="hanuel">hanuel</a>'s breathy, intimate vocals always front and center in the mix. At times, the lyrics slip between English and Korean, but the emotions they convey transcend language, and the result is more than just an album; it’s a borderless sonic world to get lost in, an immersive, cinematic blend of alt-rock and bedroom pop that erases time and distance, allowing millions of listeners to find each other and themselves -in the process.

Towa Bird
Artist
Since taking up electric guitar at the age of 12, Towa Bird has come to rely on her chosen instrument as something of a second voice – an immediate vessel for raw self-expression, often manifested in the form of frenetic yet sublimely executed guitar solos. Now 23 years old, the Hong Kong-born, half-Filipino, half-English singer/songwriter is ready to unleash her own original music unto the world. She says of the music - “I grew up listening to so many male-gazey love songs, and it was important to put something out into the world that felt like the music I wanted for myself when I was a kid.” She’s able to do just that with her sweetly crafted sound – one that strikes a rare balance of boldness with sensitivity, and is both wildly explosive while sharing a tender exploration of queerness, identity, and the complexities of love.

Faye Webster
Artist
The title of Faye Webster's new album is inspired by her occasional compulsion to lose herself among concertgoers at the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Craving company and distraction but also leaning into the anonymity of a crowd, Webster often bought a ticket to a performance at the last second. “Going to the symphony was almost like therapy for me,” she says. “I was quite literally underdressed at the symphony because I would just decide at the last moment that's what I wanted to do.” Webster has never been more comfortable in her own skin than right now, which makes her ascent into the vanguard of young, independent artists even sweeter. At any given moment, Webster might be making country-tinged indie rock flecked simultaneously by pedal steel guitar and modern R&B production – a bespoke sound which has won her ardent fans and turned her into something of a stealth superstar. The world around Webster may be moving faster and faster, but despite an influx of new fans, she’s still singing about it in an almost impossibly low-key way on her fifth album. Recorded at Sonic Ranch Studios with her longtime band, Underdressed at the Symphony revels in experimentation and playfulness. Webster isn’t providing answers here, nor is she on a journey of healing and self-care. Instead, she’s choosing to just live, to document heartbreak and ridiculous moments right next to each other until they start to blur, becoming real enough for us all to feel.
